Job Description: The City of Abbotsford is offering an incredible opportunity for a forward-thinking, creative and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a temporary, full-time Social Media and Digital Coordinator for a 12-month term. This role coordinates social media campaigns and develops optimal posting schedules, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.

In this exciting role, you are responsible for performing a variety of duties to support and grow our social media presence. The City of Abbotsford uses a variety of online communications tools to communicate programs and services to our community. The Social Media and Digital Coordinator will be responsible for working collaboratively with all City departments to ensure accurate, consistent, timely and informative content is shared across all of our social media and online communications channels. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with the public will make you an asset to the team.

The Social Media and Digital Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating timely responses to customer inquiries and suggesting new ways to enhance and grow our social media and digital presence.
Educational Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Completion of a post-secondary degree in Marketing, New media or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience at an equitable level demonstrating professional progression.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
Salary: This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $35.97 to $42.30 per hour.
