The City of Abbotsford’s Information Technology Department is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated professional with proven skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment to join our team as an Applications Analyst. Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, you will develop and modify business applications to deliver innovative digital solutions.

| Duties: |
You will have considerable problem solving, programming and business analysis knowledge and experience. You will also have a good understanding of relational databases and SQL. Working experience in the following software products and platforms is also considered an asset:
• Tempest
• AMANDA
• OpenText ECM
• MS SQL Server and Oracle
• PL/SQL
• SSIS and SSRS
• Web Development
You are an effective communicator and you have strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.

| Educational Requirements: |
As our ideal candidate you will have:
A two-year diploma in Computer Science or equivalent diploma from a recognized educational institution;
Three years’ experience working with programming, systems design and business application support |
|
| Salary: |
This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $39.00 to $45.86. |
