||The District of Mission is seeking an innovative and critical thinker to focus on the District’s business processes and systems and provide solutions to enhance overall efficiency to meet corporate strategies.
||Reporting to the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, you will review, analyze and evaluate complex business processes and systems, and identify and recommend improvements based on your analysis. You will identify and deliver these new and improved business processes and procedures in adherence to technological and accounting best practices and standards. Strong facilitation, problem solving and confliction resolution skills are required as you will be working with subject matter experts and other stakeholders. You will also function as the project manager for business solutions projects and act as the liaison between vendors and the project team throughout the project life cycle.
You will have a thorough knowledge of business analysis, process modelling and cost-benefit analysis techniques and practices including knowledge of quality improvement tools, techniques and methodologies such as Lean and/or Six Sigma. You will also have a thorough knowledge of system integration between business applications and technical platforms. You have the ability to understand and apply the principles and methods of business process analysis system development life cycle, project management and enterprise architecture and computerized accounting systems.
||The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and a minimum of five years of demonstrated experience as a business analyst leading, managing and delivering new and changed business processes, preferably in a municipal environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Membership or eligibility for membership in an accredited professional association such as Project Management Institute Certified Associate in Project Management (PMI-PBA) or equivalent is required.
||The 2020 hourly rate for this full-time CUPE position is $51.31 plus an excellent benefit package upon completion of probation including the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP). We also offer a 9-day fortnight schedule (extended hours for nine days and one day off every two weeks).
