Department: Parks, Recreation and Culture
Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of the Web & New Media Team, the Functional Application Analyst 2 role bridges the gap between digital strategy and web technologies. While the City???s Drupal lead and product owner, it is not a developer role. Instead, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to lead web projects, work with 3rd party developers, and develop and execute digital strategies. If you have a blend of experience with Drupal development, project management, and digital strategy, please read on!

ABOUT YOU
You are well versed in both technical speak and plain language with the ability to understand and break down complex technical ideas and present them to internal audiences. You feel equally comfortable jumping into PHP code to look for bugs and delivering training and advice to non-technical staff. You have a foundation of business analysis or project management principles that you can apply to requirements gathering and solutioning to meet business needs.
You are comfortable working with limited direction and changing priorities to make decisions. You have a proven track record within a fast-paced team, delivering high-quality digital projects and solutions while maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. With a solid foundation in web CMSs, Drupal is preferred, you can advise on decisions regarding technical solutions related to modules, theming, hosting and systems administration, and security.
If you love working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with great opportunities for growth, we want to hear from you.

ABOUT THE WEB AND NEW MEDIA TEAM
The Web and New Media team is a small and collaborative team that manages the City???s websites, social media channels and advertising. The team works alongside the marketing team of Digital Communications Specialists, Graphic Designers and Photo/Videographers. They also work very closely with Information Technology, collaborating with IT Architects, UX Designers, Business Analysts and Project Managers.
The Web and New Media team is a happening place to be, with multiple projects and requests coming in at all times. The Functional Application Analyst role is a particularly busy one and best suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can multi-task while keeping meticulous attention to detail. While staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in web and civic tech, the team is also responsible for educating and advising staff across the City.
