| Job Description: |
The District of Hope is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Building Inspector with Level II or III Certification.
The incumbent in this class will assist management in achieving an efficient operation in the Building Section of the Community Development Department (Building/Planning) through reliable processing of building permit applications, performance of building, plumbing and heating inspections, investigating District bylaw infractions related to the Building Department, observing municipal policies and safety practices and ensuring the security of confidential material pertaining to the department's operation. |

| Educational Requirements: |
The successful candidate must be a graduate of an advanced Building Technology Course specializing in the building trades and be at registered building official in good standing with the Building Officials Association of BC. |

| Salary: |
Upon successful completion of the probationary period:
Level II Certification: $39.38
Level III Certification: $46.08 |
