In this exciting role at our International Airport we are looking for a self-motivated professional with proven skills, work ethic, and attention to detail. The ability to work effectively with your team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment will make you an asset to the organization.

This skilled position requires a high degree of technical knowledge in the day- to-day operations of a certified aerodrome as you will be responsible for regulatory compliance by ensuring Airport operations documentation conforms to all regulations as stipulated by Transport Canada and other applicable regulatory agencies. As part of your responsibilities you will monitor and recommend changes to Airport operations and will assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing procedures to ensure the safety and security of the Airport.

In addition, you will be heavily involved in day-to-day operations, including Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting, airfield maintenance duties, contractor coordination and assisting with planning, coordinating, and implementing procedures to ensure the safety, security and ongoing efficiency of the Airport.

The successful candidate will enjoy a shift schedule of four (4) days on, three (3) days off to support the Airport???s 24/7 operation schedule.

As our ideal candidate you will have:

??? Grade 12, plus completion of two year diploma program in Airport Operations or related discipline supplemented by post-secondary courses related to civil drafting and/or Autodesk computer courses (AutoCAD);
??? a minimum of two years related experience inclusive of one year Airport experience plus six months supervisory experience;
??? a valid, Class 3 B.C. Drivers Licence; and
??? a satisfactory Police Information Check

Upon completion of your probation period, you will be required to have the following:
??? Restricted Radio License (ROC-A);
??? Airport Rescue Fire-Fighting certification ??? CARs 303 and CARs 323; and
??? Airside Vehicle Operator???s Permit (AVOP)

This position is unionized, C.U.P.E Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $32.76 per hour to $38.54 per hour plus a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
