SCOPE
The City of Surrey???s Community Recreation Services Department is currently recruiting for auxiliary recreation Program Instructors for the following areas:
???Arts and Crafts, and/or;
???Introductory Sports, and/or;
???Dance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
???Create and implement age-appropriate activities for participants.
???Facilitate a hands on educational and fun experience while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment
???Ensure general program readiness, including equipment/supplies, lesson plans and attendance lists.
???Provide feedback to students while developing rapport and building confidence
???Communicate effectively with parents and participants on objectives, expectations and rules.
???Be energetic, creative and a role model for the kids.
???Arts and Crafts Instructors in addition to the above the will be responsible for:
???Keep the classroom clean and organized.
???Teach art, crafts, drawing, painting and cartooning.
???Introductory Sport Instructors in addition to the above the will be responsible for:
???Teach the fundamental skills along with the rules of the game in a fun and safe environment.
???Teach a variety of sports, including floorball, soccer, basketball, soccer, ball hockey, badminton and volleyball.
???Dance Instructor in addition to the above the will be responsible for:
???Creating routines and teach to students with a wide range of skill levels.
???Teach dance in a variety of genres, including hip-hop, break dance, contemporary, jazz, ballet and ethnic dance such as bhangra.

QUALIFICATIONS
???Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C with AED certification.
???Excellent leadership, organizational and customer service skills.
???Reliable, patient, enthusiastic and enjoy working with people and children of all ages.
???Creative and energetic teaching style where the children are engaged and actively.
???Experience as an Instructor.
???High-Five Certification (asset).
