Totally committed to service delivery, our Human Resources Division is currently recruiting for a temporary full-time (from approx. August 20, 2018 to return of incumbent) Human Resources Clerk to join to our team of professionals in the Human Resources Division.
Duties: Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, and as a key member of our team, you will be involved in a broad range of Human Resources functions. You will provide front line support and customer service for the Division as well as provide administrative assistance and coordination in the areas of: recruitment, training, performance evaluation and classifications. Duties include but are not limited to front line customer service, creating job advertisements and preparation in the Applicant Tracking System, administering testing, conducting reference checks, data and information entry into the Human Resources Information System software, assisting with training administration, preparation of reports, filing and assisting with records management.
Educational Requirements: This will appeal to a fast paced, detail-oriented, independent and well-organized individual who has Grade 12 along with courses in post–secondary studies in Human Resources including working towards a Human Resource Certificate or Diploma. Additionally, you are required to have excellent computer/word processing skills (Word and Excel), typing speed of 35 wpm, familiarity with HRIS and a sound knowledge of business English. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role. Superior customer service is vital when you are dealing with employees and external agencies.
Salary: A competitive salary commensurate with experience is available with this Exempt position plus 13% in lieu of benefits. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
