The City of Abbotsford’s Economic Development department has an exciting and unique temporary (12-months to cover a maternity leave) opportunity for an outgoing individual to join our innovative and strategic team. We work in a fast paced, high energy environment with lots of opportunity. We are looking for an individual with similar outlook to help us continue to build Abbotsford as the ‘Hub of the Fraser Valley’.

As the Economic Development Coordinator you will be the glue that holds the team together: balancing schedules, coordinating meetings, composing correspondence, acting as the first point of contact for all enquiries, maintaining the integrity of the Economic Development website, coordinating all film permit applications and acting as the film liaison, assisting with the coordination of special events, and providing highly confidential administrative support; including vital research to support the team’s vision and goals.

To be successful in this role you will be a very organized and outgoing professional, having completed a certificate or diploma in Business, and you will have at least two years’ experience in office administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
