The City of Surrey’s Parks Recreation and Culture Department is currently recruiting candidates who have a passion for working with people while promoting a healthy lifestyle through sport and recreation.
Power Soccer is an adapted version of soccer. Athletes will use their power chairs fixed with a guard on the front end of their chairs to maneuver, pass and hit an oversized soccer ball into the opposition’s net. Our class focuses on player development in a recreation setting.
In this position, the Power Soccer Instructor will:
•Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons;
•Regular communication with supervisors (and potentially parents);
•Ensuring participants are safe and engaged;
•Attending scheduled team meetings and monitory training;
•Other duties as assigned.
•Experience working with children and adults in a recreation capacity;
•Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C Certification;
•Completion of grade 12;
•High Five Certification (or willingness to acquire);
•Soccer experience is an asset.
