The City of Abbotsford currently has an auxiliary opportunity in our Engineering Operations Division for a Truck Driver V – Collections. This is skilled truck driving work, involving the operation of a complex sanitation co-collection truck under varying traffic and field conditions. The incumbent will also load refuse and recyclables by hand from approved containers along an assigned route and unload material in approved areas, using equipment.
You must have: a Grade 12 high school diploma (or equivalent), demonstrated ability to operate a sanitation co-collection truck at an acceptable level of competence, and a valid Driver's License for the Province of British Columbia (Class 3 with Air).
Qualified candidates will be asked to submit a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract assessment.
This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $25.26 to $29.69 per hour plus a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
