Community Services Assistant 1s are responsible for the design and implementation of Before and After Care Programs for children and youth, as well as fostering positive experiences for the children in our programs. Before and After Care Programs run in elementary schools or in our recreation facilities adjacent to the schools. QUALIFICATIONS The Community Services Assistant 1 will have: ???Completed Grade 12; ???Current Emergency First Aid and CPR certificates; ???Previous experience working with children; ???Experience working in a recreation setting; ???The ability to swim and skate are an asset. Before and after School Care is a Licensed program and the following are requirements of the position as per the Community Care and Assisted Living Act ??? Child Care Licensing Regulation: ???Be at least 19 years of age; ???Be able to provide care and mature guidance to children; ???Have completed a course, or a combination of courses, of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition, and; ???Have relevant work experience.
