The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Business Application Support Analyst to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Administration Division, Information Technology Department.

Reporting to the Manager of Applications, you will be responsible in this unionized position for the development and maintenance of technical and non-technical documentation; communicating with subject matter experts to create effective documentation such as policies, standards, procedures, reference materials, and templates; creating and updating instructional and informational screen recordings and videos, knowledge base articles, technical blogs, and IT newsletters. You will also focus on the delivery of information sessions, presentations, and training on the various IT services and solutions, assisting in the delivery of programs that will help our organization leverage technology in new and innovative ways. You may also analyze requests for changes to specific applications and/or requests for new applications; gather and document requirements, responding to user requests for specific business application assistance; review and/or assist users in defining problems, resolving software problems or referring major and unresolved problems and malfunctions to vendors or senior technical specialists.

Your education will include completion of a two year diploma course in computer technology at an institute of technology or community college supplemented by technical courses related to the work, plus sound related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Strong customer service, interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role. A wide and varied business and technical background with experience in customer facing roles would be ideal.

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $34.01 - $40.16 per hour (5 steps, 2015 rates), plus benefits. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am ??? 4:30pm.
