| Job Description: |
Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor, the Building Custodian will perform a variety of interior and exterior janitorial and custodial duties; collecting refuse; setting up for functions; carrying out minor repairs to buildings and fixtures; and maintaining the security of buildings.
Position 1 July 22, 2017 to August 31, 2017
Position 2 July 22 to September 17, 2017 |

| Duties: |
The Building Custodian will perform a variety of interior and exterior janitorial and custodial duties; collecting refuse; setting up for functions; carrying out minor repairs to buildings and fixtures; and maintaining the security of buildings. |

| Educational Requirements: |
??? Completion of grade 12 and a minimum of two years??? experience in a similar work environment, or an equivalent combination of education/experience;
??? A Building Service Worker Certificate or recognized equivalent is a definite asset;
|
|
| Skill Requirements: |
??? Knowledge of modern cleaning equipment and chemicals is preferred;
??? Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively handle conflicting priorities;
??? Excellent communication skills, including the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and converse with a wide range of people including contractors, staff, and the general public;
??? Possess a valid Driver???s Licence.

| Salary: |
$17.79 per hour plus 10% in lieu of benefits |
