The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Engineering Technologist II to join our team of professionals in the Engineering Division, Engineering Utilities Operations Department.

Reporting to the Utility Operations Manager, you will be responsible in this unionized position for Providing innovative solutions, logic and problem solving capability to non-standard conditions, situations and occurrences; investigate drinking water quality anomalies related to cross connections in public and private building plumbing, and in the municipal water supply and distribution system. Independently resolve complex technical problems and policy issues. Extensive knowledge, consistent judgment and an innovative approach is required.

Your education will include Graduation from an Institute of Technology with a diploma in civil and structural technology, or other related discipline, including or supplemented by courses in project management, plus considerable related experience preferably in a Municipal setting; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $35.43 - $41.82 per hour (5 steps; 2015 rate) plus benefits. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
