We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our team in the new and exciting role of Manager, Facility Operations. Reporting to the Director, Parks and Facilities, the Manager provides leadership to the operations and technical services for PRC facilities, ensuring they are meeting the current and future needs of the City. The Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning and directing the operation, maintenance and repair of PRC???s facilities, building systems and operating equipment, including aquatics and arena facilities and equipment.

As the Manager you are a strategic thinker and problem solver with sound judgement. You have the ability to motivate, mentor, coach and influence a diverse team to create a high performing work environment. You have experience as a hands-on leader and are comfortable managing multiple priorities. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build credible and trusted relationships at all levels throughout the organization and City.

The ideal candidate will have:

??? A Diploma in Building Technology or related discipline, or a trades qualification, supplemented by continuing education in labour relations and budget management;
??? A minimum of five years of considerable experience in the building maintenance or construction field within a municipal government setting, inclusive of at least two years of experience in a leadership role along with;
??? Knowledge of building design, construction and maintenance, and of standard practices in the industry and related sub-trades; and
??? Knowledge of aquatic and arena maintenance, including a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate.
