Duties: As an integral component of the Human Resources Branch, the Return to Work Coordinator employs the principles of integrated disability management to all cases of occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. The incumbent will work closely with management and staff and consult with relevant stakeholders involved in the rehabilitation and return to work process to ensure early intervention and timely management of cases and safe and effective return to work strategies.
Skill Requirements: The successful candidate must have five (5) years of progressive experience in Disability Management or a combination of experience and specialized education. You must possess demonstrated knowledge of return to work and duty to accommodate principles and practices to ensure compliance with Human Rights and Privacy legislation, Collective Agreements and other relevant legislation. Experience in a law enforcement environment is considered an asset.

We are looking for a highly resourceful team player that can also be effective independently. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and are able to foster and maintain supportive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Solid analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills are essential in order to assess situations, determine issues and effectively resolve matters. This position demands confidentiality and the ability to exercise considerable independence, judgment and confidence in decision making.
