The City of Surrey???s Parks, Recreation & Culture Department is seeking casual Lifeguards to perform lifeguarding functions while providing exceptional customer service, fun, and interactive program instruction and effective safety supervision for the patrons of Surrey???s indoor pools.
As a Lifeguard/Instructor Level 1, in addition to lifeguarding duties, ,you will do physical work which will include ensuring the facility is well maintained and kept clean and safe on a daily basis. You will perform routine maintenance such as cleaning change rooms and keeping the Lifeguard office neat and orderly.
As a Lifeguard/Instructor, in addition to lifeguarding duties, you will do physical work which will include ensuring the facility is well maintained and kept clean and safe on a daily basis. You will perform routine maintenance such as cleaning change rooms and keeping the Lifeguard office neat and orderly. You will perform water tests to ensure adequate water quality and will occasionally work with Chlorine and other chemicals related to pool operations.

| Educational Requirements: |
Both positions require:
??? Completion of Grade 12 plus Formal Lifeguard, Instructor, and First Aid training
??? Current certificate as a Water Safety Instructor,
??? National Lifeguard Service ??? Pool Option
??? C.P.R. ???C??? with Auto External Defibrillation.
??? The Lifeguard/Instructor position requires one year of related experience
